Here are the main features we can observe:

- The entire poplar panel and the limits of the pictorial coat (it has never been cut).

- The restoration of the top part of the sky and the 12cm crack.
- Her different expression.

- The stain in the corner of her eye was accidentally caused by varnish, as was the case for that on her chin.

- Her more expressive and clearer smile.

- The lessening of the cracks on her lips and eyes, which probably suggests a very old restoration or lightening of the varnish.

- The remains of the lacework which has vanished from her bodice.

- The transparency of the veil on the landscape.

- The preparatory sketch of the interlacings and understanding that the veil on the right-hand side was painted afterwards.

- The preparatory sketches of the left-hand side column.

- The chair on the right-hand side which disappears under the veil.

- The fixing of the elbow after a stone was thrown in 1956.

- The painter’s retouch of her fingers – the forefinger and middle finger of the left hand.

- A blanket covers her lap and confirms the position of her right hand holding it against her tummy.

- The fingers of her left hand hold the blanket covering her lap.
